Esta parroquia era sufragánea de la parroquia del despoblado de Santa María del Carrascal. Se dejó de celebrar en dicha parroquia por los años 1780, pasando todas las pertenencias a las parroquias de Torrecillas de la Tiesa y La Aldea del Obispo.
Su iglesia se construyo a finales del siglo XV, pues así se indica en una de las jambas, donde aparece grabado el año de 1581
