History
Nació en Siena hijo de Ansano y Agnese Chigi. Bisnieto del Papa Alejandro VII. Fue ordenado sacerdote el 25 de marzo de 1690 y el 18 de diciembre de 1701 fue consagrado arzobispo de Damasco. El 27 de enero de 1702, el pontífice nombró a Zondadari nuncio extraordinario de Felipe V de España hasta el 22 de abril de 1709.
El 18 de mayo de 1712 fue creado cardenal, obteniendo la birreta roja el 23 de septiembre de 1715 con el título de S. Balbina.
